Chewy transferred into our care from a rural community and boy, oh boy, is there a lot going on in the city. Strangers! Dogs! Skateboards! Cyclists! The bustling city is a lot for Chewy to take in. His excitement is through the roof, which usually causes him to bark and jump towards the excitement.

Because of this, Chewy would love a home outside of the city, with an active family that will take him on hikes and other outdoor adventures. Chewy is also incredibly smart and is willing to learn new tricks to help with his impulse control. He’s learning a lot of new things – but with a bit of patience, guidance, and treats, Chewy is learning to adjust.

He loves people and other dogs – so he’d be open to moving in with another dog as long as the introductions are done slowly. Our staff members will be happy to share some tips on how to slowly introduce two dogs!

Chewy’s ideal forever home would have a fenced in backyard so that he can let his mid-day zoomies out. Chewy would do well with a patient family, who is willing to continue his training and support his journey to becoming the most confident dog he can be.

This big, beautiful ball of energy will be amazing adventure dog for the right family who can put the work into training and working with him. Chewy comes with post adoption support and our certified trainers will work with you and Chewy to help set you up for success.
