Coming up this Saturday on Finding Your Bliss, we have a show devoted to music and visual arts. This week, Bliss expert and Life Coach Judy Librach is joined by artist, and art instructor Michelle Fish

Michelle Fish is the founder of Learn Art Online Toronto. Her passion for Small Group teaching, started with her brainchild, the Painted Word Studio, an Ottawa programme that continued for over a decade. After that, she taught Drawing and Art Appreciation courses for 10 years at the University of Toronto.

Tapping into the 55 plus population and seeking a more creative alternative to traditional “In-Class” instruction, Michelle left UofT in 2018 to pursue her own dream website, Learn Art Online Toronto.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Fine Art degree, Masters in Teaching from the Rhode Island School of Design, and a B.A. in Psychology. She is also an Indie Author of several Art Appreciation e-Guides, in which she contacts the artist and then writes about their artwork to help inspire visual skills in her students. Michelle is dedicated to helping Beginner Adults discover their artistic voice through simple pen and paper drawing courses, supplemented by her extensive slide collection of famous artworks. She is the first to create her own Art Course called “Breaking Beyond the Box.”

When she’s not teaching Beginner art online, Michelle enjoys drawing portraits, singing, classical ballet and taking courses in Health and Wellbeing.

Also on the program we have two exciting musical theatre talents.

Nicky Phillips is an award-winning composer and lyricist. She is currently a member of the BMI-Lehman Engel Advanced Musical Theatre Workshop where she was awarded the Jean Banks Award for outstanding achievement in Musical Theatre. The show was the winner of the Reva Shiner Comedy Award and will have a production at Bloomington Playwright’s Project. Theater in Asylum and Piper Theatre in Brooklyn presented a workshop production of another musical of Sarah’s, The Brontës.

This show is currently being workshopped at the University of East London and will have a production in 2022. Sarah’s songs have been performed at cabaret spaces across NYC including 54 Below (Lady Parts, Broadway Babylon, and MuseMatch), The Duplex (In the Works) and the New York Theatre Barn (Sarah vs. Sarah).
