Despite his star quarterback build and frat boy looks, Toronto Humane Society’s Bruno fancies himself an old soul. Yeah he’ll toss the ball around with you, roll around in the grass and get his slobber all over your face. But all he really wants to do is talk about books while picnicking in Trinity Bellwoods park. Yes he’s strong as an ox, but he’s also cuddly as a carebear. Big and bashful, strong and shy, Bruno can’t wait to meet a group of like-minded humans to help him come out of his shell.
Bruno is less a toy guy and more of a neck scratch, warm hug, and cheese wiz snack guy. A gentle old boy who doesn’t know his own size/strength, he will snuggle next to you on the couch and listen to you talk about your day, looking up at you admiringly with his beautiful eyes. He is the cuddliest goof who just needs a little encouragement from people he can trust.
But Bruno will always be shy and a little unsure. In a perfect world, there would be no crowded streets, no honks, no bangs, no booms. Everyone would move slowly and speak quietly. It would be a world of hugs, naps, and long walks on the beach. But life isn’t like that. There are always going to be strangers and, depending on the location, unexpected sounds. Bruno is learning this and is really keen on finding a calm and quiet home where he can work on his confidence.
Bruno is the sweetest boy. But he isn’t the type to be your best friend the moment you meet. He values deeper, more meaningful connections and hopes you’ll be patient with him as he opens up to you. Once he does, you will have a partner in cuddles, a sweet-natured sidekick who will always have your back. You’ll love coming home to this cuddle bear of a dog.
