Toronto Humane Society’s Buddy is as charming as he is handsome. Sweet, calm and gentle, he’s a lap cat with a side of snuggles. He likes catching up on sleep, pretending to hunt, and talking about food with his friends. You can catch him at the window or in his favourite sunspot dreaming over the canned goods he just ate. He’s a shy softie and introvert who, once you get to know him, will be burying himself into your lap to keep you warm until the spring.

Poor Buddy had a human friend for most of his life. They did everything together. Lap time, scratch time, food time. They were thick as thieves and Buddy loved him dearly. Sadly, Buddy’s friend is gone. He’s so sad and confused about why. But he is slowly recovering from his loss. Because of the sudden changes this brought on, Buddy might take a little longer to adjust to his new surroundings. He doesn’t like loud noises or sudden movements. But with a calm and gentle approach, he will show you the meaning of love.

Buddy is diabetic. But this hasn’t dampened his warm, cuddly nature! Bringing home a diabetic cat is not as scary as it sounds. All he needs is his daily medicine! Giving it to him is easy and our staff here would be happy to go through everything with you. With a little practice, his meds can become a part of your daily routine! Plus, some cats go into remission and no longer require regular treatment.

This friendly boy enjoys attention and is looking for a more calm and mature home that will commit to making his golden years special. He’s currently living in a foster home.
