Walking advertisement for Herbal Essences and Toronto Humane Society’s three-time male model of the year, Olso is beginning to realize there is more to life than being ridiculously good looking. Yes, he likes flipping his lion’s mane from side to side. Yes, he likes strutting his stuff for all to see. But really, this boy just wants someone to be his bestest friend. Is that too much to ask? Plus, being ridiculously good looking is a lot harder than it looks. People are always expecting him to smile and be ready for the camera. Gah! Some days he just wants to cruise around listening to Wham! while sipping on puppuccinos with his model friends.

Oslo prefers having a tight group of friends and can be a little cliquey. He’s a wine and dine kinda guy who makes you work for his friendship. Models usually are. But deep down he’s got a lot of love to give. He just needs to learn to trust. Once you show Oslo you’re on his team he is the epitome of loyal companion and will be a friend for life. Pro tip: he loves toys. He loves them so much. Toys upon toys and spending hours playing with toys. That’s his dream.

This poufy-haired, tall glass of water is looking for a loving foster family who will accept him for who he is. Sure, he’s handsome. But he’d appreciate you not focus too much on his looks. There’s more to him than his majestic coat and teddy-bear face. He’s looking for deep, meaningful relationships built on trust. A tight group of friends who’ll have his back as he works on his confidence, that’s his dream.

Oslo struggles in new environments, and around new people and dogs. It’s been a long road for this boy, and he could use some encouragement. With time and patience and a respect for his sensitive nature, Oslo will come out of his shell and show the world just how friendly, loving, and loyal he really is.

He would do best in an adult-only home where he’d be the only animal. His new parents should have foster experience and be familiar with the chow breed. The ideal family would be open to continuing the path Toronto Humane Society trainers have set for him, willing to provide routine behavioural support and encouragement.

Want to help Oslo learn to trust again? Send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Foster Application: Oslo”, telling Toronto Humane Society staff why your home would be a good fit! Oslo can’t wait to meet you!
