Hi, I’m Gene Stevens – with news about the next installment in our year-long exploration of various popular music genres. A few weeks ago we tasted folk music with ‘The Folk Revival of the 50s Edition’, and just last week, we had the ‘Bob Dylan Edition’ celebrating the legend’s 77th birthday.

Dylan was a key turning point in music history – changing the sound of folk when he plugged in his electric guitar at Newport in 1965. That was the year ‘Folk-Rock’ exploded, and an entire new wave of artists emerged.

This Sunday, I’ll feature many of those exciting new artists and songs in the ‘Folk-Rock Edition’ of Vintage Favourites, at 2pm. – from Zoomer Radio.
