On This Day in 2010 ,Rush is inducted into Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame! Rush became the first group ushered into the Hall. Their induction was linked with five specific songs, “Limelight,” “Tom Sawyer,” “The Spirit of Radio,” “Subdivisions” and “Closer to the Heart.”

Among the other songs inducted was Dolores Claman’s iconic “The Hockey Theme,” often referred to as Canada;s second national anthem.
