Hi, I’m Gene Stevens – and here’s what’s happening on my next ‘Vintage Favourites’ show this Sunday.
‘The vintage year – 1937’ … Howard Hughes and Amelia Earhart made aviation history, so did ‘The Hindenburg’ … the Spanish Civil War inspired a Picasso masterpiece … Disney’s Snow White was an instant classic, Joe Louis became the first African-American sports hero, and pop music was a rich blend of Astaire and Crosby, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey and Billie Holiday.
Plus a special musical memorial on the 15th anniversary of 9/11, a birthday salute to David Clayton-Thomas and remembering Neil Young’s ‘After the Goldrush’.
… all on the next ‘Vintage Favourites’ this Sunday at 2, from Zoomer Radio.
