Hi, I’m Gene Stevens – and here’s what’s coming up on my next ‘Vintage Favourites’ – the spotlight on ‘the vintage year – 1970’ !

It was a year of hope and fear … Nixon took the Viet Nam War into Cambodia, and 4 died in Ohio – hard work and prayers saved the crew of Apollo 13, as we marked the first-ever ‘Earth Day’, and debated mini-skirts or hot pants, and ‘women’s lib’. Muhammed Ali came back, Bobby Orr made hockey history, the Beatles and Supremes broke up and some Canadians legends scored their first hits – like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Anne Murray.

The news, sports and showbiz stories with the amazing music of ‘the vintage year – 1970’ – plus a birthday salute to rockabilly balladeer Jack Scott, and a celebration of Toronto’s Crew-Cuts.

It’s all on the next ‘Vintage Favourites’ – this Sunday from 2-4:30 – from Zoomer Radio.
