TOPIC – An ongoing area of concern for OMVIC is curbsiders – illegal unlicensed dealers who commonly pose as private sellers or work from small automotive related businesses such as body shops. Often curbsiders sell vehicles that are accident damaged, insurance right offs or are odometer tampered. There have been some rather significant convictions lately with jail time and $50K+ fines.
