Fellow musicians are tweeting out their sadness over the loss of blues legend BB King.
Known for his hits My Lucille, Sweet Little Angel and Rock Me Baby, one of the most influential guitarists of the past century died in his sleep in his Las Vegas home at the age of 89.
BB King won a new generation of fans with his 1969 hit The Thrill is Gone, which became a hit on both the pop and the R and B charts.
Lenny Kravitz tweeted, “BB, anyone could play a thousand notes and never say what you said in one. #RIP #BBKing”
Richie Sambora offered a tweet. “My friend and legend BB King passed…I’m so so sad…he was so great to me…We’ve lost the King…My love and prayers to his family.”
Ringo Starr tweeted, “God bless BB King, peace and love to his family.”
And Eric Clapton has posted a video tribute on Facebook to express his sadness at the death of his dear friend.
