‘Tennessee Waltz’ singer Patti Page died on New Year’s Day in Encinitas, California. She was 85.
Page was the best-selling female artist of the 50s with almost 20 gold singles.
She entered the pop charts over one hundred times and her iconic song, ‘Tennessee Waltz’ became the official state song of Tennessee.
It was announced before her death that she would be honoured at the year’s Grammy ceremony with the Record Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
