IN MEMORIAM 2022
It’s an annual tradition – our look back for a final fond farewell to those recording artists we lost during the year. And, like every year, 2022 had its share of sad and often sudden news about another of our favourite artists passing away. For at least the moment – and often for much longer – we think back on the music we enjoyed so much, and perhaps the show we once saw, the records we might’ve danced to, and the songs we may have committed to a ‘mix-tape’ (remember those ?) for a favourite person.
Music is powerful stuff – and these men and women who gave us their music imprinted their songs on our lives. We lost them this year but we’ll always have their music – and our memories. Please join me for my final fond farewell to Ronnie Hawkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Olivia Newton-John, Christine McVie, Meat Loaf, Bobby Rydell, Loretta Lynn, Irene Cara, Big Rude Jake, R. Dean Taylor, Vangelis, Susan Jacks, and so many others.
