FATHER’S DAY!

I was looking for a new bunch of inspiring Father’s Day quotes, and found these three on Oprah Winfrey Daily: Robert Downey Jr.: ‘Do I want to be a hero to my son? No. I would like to be a very real human being. That’s hard enough.’  Liza Minnelli: ‘I’ve said it before but it’s absolutely true: my mother gave me my drive, but my father gave me my dreams, Thanks to him, I could see a future.’  And President Obama: ‘… above all, children need our unconditional love – whether they succeed or make mistakes; when life is easy and when life is tough.’
I’ll share more quotes and play ten amazing songs for Father’s Day this Sunday, in our main feature.  I’ll also spotlight Joni Mitchell’s classic album ‘Blue’ which was released 50 years ago next week. And on ‘This Week in Zoomer Music‘ some of the stand-out stories include: The Beatles’ song for ‘Our World’ – the first-ever global TV link-up seen by over 200 million people; Elvis Presley’s last live performance; Brian Wilson’s own solo version of the Beach Boys’ classic ‘Good Vibrations’ and Judy Garland’s legendary live performance of ‘Over the Rainbow’ at Carnegie Hall from 60 years ago.
I hope you’ll join me for the next edition of ‘Vintage Favourites’ this Sunday (June 20th). Cheers.
