With summer upon us, I’ve got a show coming up this weekend, you might call a ‘musical surf & turf’ ! ‘Surf’s up’ and we’ll catch a wave of golden goodies from the 1960s with The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean and the iconic father of surf music – Dick Dale. That’s the first hour. Then after 3 o’clock I’ll salute the 57 year history of the Mariposa Folk Festival – the 2018 edition goes this weekend in Orillia. I’ll spotlight some of the legendary performers at Mariposa over the years.

This will be a perfect summer Sunday afternoon show and I hope you’ll tune in for the California sun, sand and surf, and then the sweet folk tunes of what’s often called ‘The Grande Dame of North America’s music festivals’ – Mariposa.
