So the weather guys said, “Expect about two centimetres of the white stuff” I thought getting my snow tires replaced just yesterday wouldn’t prove a problem. The photo will explain why traction wasn’t the issue….

You see, Shirley and I live on a farm in the Newmarket area. To get to the cabin, we have a mile and a half, one kilometre of that through a very windy road through the forest . As you can see, no way could a car make it through this morning! I HAD to be at work today to fill in for Norm Edwards from 1 to 6 pm. Only solution, walk through the forest where a good neighbour, Peter Grosskurth picked me up an drove me to the Go station in Aurora. A simple switch to the King Streetcar and I was here well before my shift. Whew!! What a way to start the day!!!
