From the skies to the oceans now – where Crystal Cruises has a new expedition-style voyage traversing the Arctic Ocean via the legendary Northwest Passage. Crystal will be the first luxury cruise line to navigate the route: 1500 kilometres of majestic waterways lined with spectacular glaciers, towering fjords, and vast unspoiled landscapes away from mainstream civilization.
Beginning in August 2016 in Alaska, Crystal Serenity will sail for 32 days from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. The first call in the Canadian Arctic is planned for the Hamlet of Uluk-hak-tok, Northwest Territories, a settlement of just a few hundred people, only 2200 kilometres from the North Pole. Bookings open to the public on September 2, 2014 and all details can be found at www.crystalcruises.com .
