Justin Trudeau will be among the first to visit Toronto’s Greektown this evening at the start of a popular street festival.
Organizers of the ”Taste of the Danforth,” which celebrates the neighbourhood’s many restaurants and diverse food and drink offerings, say a special opening ceremony will remember the recent mass shooting that left two dead and 13 hurt.
The prime minister’s expected to deliver remarks around 8 p.m. at the main stage near Danforth and Logan Avenues.
The festival runs through Sunday at 10 p.m.
Danforth between Broadview and Jones reopens Monday at 4 a.m.
