INFO – Anyone who has had a kidney stone will tell you that they are an extremely painful experience. They are also common, effecting 5-10% of the population. Usually people have to come to the hospital for pain control. But are they dangerous? We will discuss what makes kidney stones form, how to treat them, and strategies to prevent them. We will also discuss when a kidney stone requires immediate attention. And we will discuss other illnesses that can masquerade as a kidney stone.
