A Mississauga long-term care home operator is facing another $20-million dollar lawsuit for allegedly failing to protect residents and staff amid COVID-19. The operator, Schlegel Villages, is now facing two such lawsuits. The plaintiff in the latest case, Viet Do, launched a claim that Schlegel failed to follow appropriate directives from the province and public health authorities. His father, was a resident at the Erin Mills Lodge facility and died there this past April after succumbing to the virus.
