February 6, 1965 – You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’

The Righteous Brothers started a two week run at No.1 on the US singles chart with ‘You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin‘ produced by Phil Spector.

Apparently during the recording of the song Bobby Hatfield expressed his annoyance at not singing during Bill Medley’s solo that starts the song.  He asked Spector what he should do during Medley’s solo to which Spector replied “you can go straight to the f***ing bank.”
