August 22, 1964 – Where Did Our Love Go

The Supremes climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their single ‘Where Did Our Love Go.’ The song was written and produced by Holland-Dozier-Holland, the main production team at Motown. It was The Supremes first No. 1 hit.

The song was the title track on the group’s second LP. It would become Motown’s best-selling album up to that time and sat on the charts for over a year.
