Canada’s next top models might just be zoomers.
As the baby boomers age, more of us want to see women and men that like us in advertisements.
Alan Thomas Smith of Toronto based, PUSH modelling Agency, says the aging baby boomer generation is behind the surge toward the upper age spectrum in the modelling world.
He says designers are starting to pay attention to the very relevant market of customers in their fifties and sixties.
And the models who exude health and vitality are making the money these days.
Helen Mara debuted at Toronto Fashion Week last fall at the age of 64.
She modeled a bit back in her 20s but now she’s juggling her real estate work around the modelling assignments including jobs for Holts, the Bay, Zoomer magazine and Sears.
