TTC WORKER KILLED IN ACCIDENT IDENTIFIED

We are learning more about Peter Pavlovski, the TTC worker killed on the job this morning at track level near Yorkdale station.

Commission CEO Andy Byford says the 49-year old had been a TTC employee since 1990, was a road master — a subway track and tunnel foreman.

Pavlovski was supervising a crew of seven people performing work on the northbound track when he was struck by a southbound work car.

Two other TTC workers were taken to hospital.

One who suffered minor head injuries, has already been treated and released.

The other was the operator of the train that struck Pavlovski.

The TTC, Police and Ministry of Labour officials are investigating.
