Toronto Mayor, Rob Ford says he is pleased with the outcome of a high-level meeting with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and other officials on what to do about gun violence in the city.
Ford says McGuinty assured him the province will continue funding the Toronto Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy, or TAVIS.
Ford says TAVIS is doing a great job getting the guns and gangs off the street.
Today’s meeting was called following last Monday’s brazen gun fight at an east-end block party that left two dead and 23 wounded.
