The Royal Conservatory kicks of its 2012-13 season at Koerner Hall on Monday with “BACH-analia” in honour of what would have been Glenn Gould’s 80th birthday.
The evening will feature an all-Bach program played on everything from the harp to the harmonica, in styles ranging from classical to jazz.
It will even feature a recreation of Glenn Gould himself playing Bach’s two-and-three part inventions on a specially-designed piano:
Conservatory Executive Director Mervon Mehta tells the New Classical 96.3 FM it will be an eclectic evening.
