A new report says average Ontario home prices have risen 17 per cent over the past four years, with the most significant growth in the province’s north.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation says the figures are good news for older Ontario homeowners who are looking to sell in a strong real estate market.
The report also notes rising home prices make it difficult for first-time home buyers to enter the market.
Many people in some of Ontario’s most expensive cities like Toronto are opting for condos.
