NATIONAL SENIOR’S DAY CELEBRATED BY CARP AT CITY HALL FLAG RAISING

October 1st is a day to celebrate Canada’s booming 65-plus demographic!  It’s National Senior’s Day in Canada.  Instituted by our Federal Government last year, the day was created to pay tribute to the seniors who have helped build our country and continue to make valuable contributions to Canadian communities, workplaces and society.  National Senior’s Day is being celebrated here in Toronto.  The flag for CARP – a new vision of aging – will be raised at Nathan Phillips Square at noon today by CARP President and Zoomer Media Founder Moses Znaimer.  CARP is a 350-thousand member advocacy association that works to promote and protect the interests, rights and quality of life for Canadians as we age.
