Crooner Tony Martin has passed away in Los Angeles at age 98.
Martin’s hits recordings include ”I Get Ideas,” ”Begin the Beguine,” and “All The Things You Are”.
Although he never became a full-fledged movie star, Martin was featured in 25 films, most of them made during the heyday of the Hollywood musicals.
Offscreen, he married two movie musical superstars, Alice Faye and Cyd Charisse. That marriage lasted 60 years, until Charisse’s death in 2008.
