The Master Of Suspense has finally conquered Orson Welles on the prestigous “10 Greatest-Movies-Ever” list from Sight & Sound magazine -published by the British Film Institute.
The survey is published every 10 years.
Hitchcock’s masterpiece “Vertigo” took the top spot and ended the 50-year-long run for Welles’ “Citizen Kane,” which is now in 2nd place.
“Vertigo” is Hitchcock’s 1958 psychological drama starring James Stewart and Kim Novak.
Yasujiro Ozu’s “Tokyo Story” ranked third, followed by Jean Renoir’s “Rules of the Game.”
