Caregivers of older family members are being acknowledged today in the U.S. A number of public service announcements are being released which put the spotlight on individuals who may be struggling to care for aging relatives while managing work, kids and their own health.
A key message of the new campaign by AARP and AD Council is for caregivers not to neglect their own needs, while helping overwhelmed families find resources that can help.
The ads direct people to A-A-R-P’s website where they can track down care providers, online support groups and legal documents, or chat with a caregiving expert.
