Premier Doug Ford says his government’s pandemic-focused budget will be delivered Thursday, November 5th. The Premier calls it a road map for recovery.

“I just don’t believe in taxes, or increasing taxes as a solution to our problems,” said Ford. “There’s more help on the way and as Premier, I’ll make it clear we’re going to continue to do what’s necessary to protect peoples’ health and jobs while laying the foundation for strong long term care, and economic recovery.”

Finance Minister Rod Phillips said in August that due to billions more in spending by the pandemic, the deficit is set to grow to $38.5B by the end of the 2021 fiscal year. That’s up from previous projections of $20.5B.
