Fall begins on Saturday, and that means the Royal Winter Fair is not far off.

And, this year, the Royal is going back to its roots to promote itself. Every year, the Royal selects an artist to created a special poster for the fair. This year, to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the fair, the Royal is turning to artists who have a close association with farm life.

Today, animal artists will have their hooves coated with paint and turned loose to wander around a 200-square-foot canvas at Kingsfield Farms in King City to created some truly abstract art. A horse, cow, pigs, sheep, and chickens will contribute to the work.

The 90th edition of the Royal Winter Fair opens November 2nd.
